Anyone got an idea what this is, or what its actually supposed to be for?
by what it has written on it im led to believe it should be for the central locking but problems have arisen!
Car hasnt been used or started for just over 14 months now, after having new loom and various other bits fitted of late yesterday eve came the day to start the car, took a while but it started and ran albeit a tad lumpy.
started again this morn and had it running as smooth as ever after checking engine connections, and adjusting a few minor items.
turned it all off and left it about an hour and when i went to try and re-start it again it didnt even attempt to crank, fuel pump didnt prime and other than the dash board lights coming on everything seemed to be completely dead!!
when turning the ignition key off there was now a very loud relay type clicking under the dash, after dropping the fuse box etc out and tracing this noise we came across the little box pictured clicking away, disconnected middle plug and the fuel pump primed immediatly - trid to start the car and hey presto it cranked over and eventually fired up, running a bit lumpy again, plugged it back in and the car was as dead again.
now removed this box completely and everything appears to work and function correctly, car starts but takes about 20seconds of cranking before it fires into life.
Just seem a bit puzzled by this, thisbox has always been plugged in before and never had a problem with the car.
Can anyone help or shine any light onto this??
oh, and its tucked up in the drivers footwell right into the inner wing behind the fuse box etc!
Cheers
