sounds like the perfect opportunity to do the ring trip in your old car before you replace it.
you do NOT need a fast car to enjoy the ring, honestly, last time a couple of the lads had an xr3i and an xr2i, and they both had a great time.
In fact i think you may find you try harder in a slower car and probably get more out of it
Also, its worth coming along just as a social event and to grab passenger rides.
Its defiantely more fun driving, but its still fun as a passenger i did that myself last trip and still had a great time (although not as fun as previously when ive driven too)
I intend to be driving in something half decent this time, but if for any reason i dont have a decent car on the road i will still go anyway.
