Because on high compression cars, they need to run massive amounts of boost (as much as 3 bar down the bottom end) to negate the effect of the restrictor (which means the boost tails to single figures at high rpm). Thus air injectors are required to accurately control this massive spikey boost curve. The amal valve would not be able to do this accurately enough . Next? .
