In Scotland you have the house surveyed before you make an offer on it. If the offer is accepted then you are legally bound to buy it.
Here you can pull out at anytime until contracts have been exchanged!

Two of my workmates have had the shitty experience of buyers pulling out on the day of signing!!!!
Ah well, it only took 3 days to sell...im sure it wont be long to find another buyer.... pity tho too cos this buyer didnt have one to sell
