Message: I believe this auction to be fraudlant.

I, and many others, are members of the RSOC and recognise the importance of information when dealing with such vehicles for sale, and I believe that the auction above is a scam. This is backed up by emails other enthusiasts have recieved from the seller - copied and pasted below.

"The FORD FOCUS is located in Hoddesdon Hertfordshire ,UK.The car is already at eBay veryfied by them,crated and ready for shipment so immediately after you make the payment to them as a third part they will move the founds in their trust account and then they will start the shipping.They will hold the money there untill you give them your confirmation that you received the car.If the car is not how I described it, I offer a full refund, upon the return of the car (return shipping on my expense).

I'm right now in a business trip in Ancona,Italy .The reason that i'm selling it at this price is that i found a very good oportunity for a business and for that i need the money here in Italy."


and the 2nd email.

"The car is in a perfect cosmetic and engine conditions, and meticulously maintained.No damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects.The buy it now price for my 2003 FORD FOCUS is £4,500.00 and i want the deal to go through a third party so the both of us will be safe. This is why I chose to be affiliated at eBay. Using a third party as eBay, you will be 100% secure that you will receive your car. I will be 100% secure that I will receive the payment after you will receive the car and inspect it.

The part about ebay offering to be a third party representative in the sale of the vehicle also raises questions about the authenticity of the auction.
