Hi Guys just wondered if any of you had an idea of what maybe causing my tuned Series 1 to rattle so bad after an oil change.

Here's the story:-

Brought a nice Series 1 a month or so back, the guy I brought it from didn't know what oil it had in it. A couple of RS Specialist recommended Silkolene 15w-50 fully synthetic. Brought this & done the oil and filyer change. Shortly after starting the car it sounded like a rattling desiel!

Ford said to me this was due to the oil being too thick and not being able to get into the lifter and recommended Valvoline 5w-50 fully synthetic, so done this change, it sounds slightly better but taken it out a few times and it still sounds pretty crappy!

Before doing these changes the engine sounded spot on.

Any one got any ideas of what may have caused this?

Any good ideas would be appreciated.
