A manager does not need to know how to install an amp to get the sales person to sell and maybe install it

Thats where your management style comes in.....
When i joined currys i knew feck all about washing machines, but managed to grow that dept by motivating and working with staff on frustrations within the buisness e.g poor delv times e.t.c
Its how you manage people and their expectations, listening to someone moan is half the battle, even if you cant change anything.
