at the end of the day it depends whats been done to the engine I suppose. I have a twin cosworth intercooler done by mr norris which sits right in front of the rad, I also have one of his fan conversions (4 little fans). This means I have hardly any air flow to the rad which makes it run a lot hotter then a normal rst would, I also get massive heat soak into the rad from my stage 3 turbo
If the engine is standard ish then it shouldnt really be running hot, not unless theres something wrong

Probably the best bet is get someone to look at it.
Regarding the thermostat, anyone know whether the escort rs turbo one is the same fitment as a fiesta rs turbo one ? If so Christian off this site was selling 82'C thermostats which should make a difference, dont know if he has any left though.
