great thread... I left a Job 5 years ago in sales, I was on circa 30k at the age of 22 and if I was still there would be on 40-50 EASY, bumped into a guy i used to work with a bit back, he earnt 60k last year ... BUT it was boring and I mean BORING and as above, you had the usual arseholes whom you simply HAD to deal with to earn a crust Same old story too, I had money coming out my ears, but I had to limit the amount of time I spent out on the beer of a weekend, as thats when the money was to be earnt PLUS I worked every single bank holiday of the year except Xmas day and easter sunday!!, Had to no holiday time allowed during promo time etc etc

I jacked it in an threw a load of money at starting my own business working on cars.... its been good and bad (lately though the money has become shite)... sometimes I do wish I was back on that shop floor scratching my arse all day .... then earnin silly money on the weekend, but then I remember the fun Isometimes have (pennyless) on alot of weekends now plus I dont have to pander to customers
