Another thing i noticed which i dont think is right, when u start the car from clap cold the temp gauge needle starts to rise streight away? i could be wrong but i didnt think this was supposed to happen?
hmmm, i've seen that happen before! My old S2, the little rubber boot which is the temp sender (pushes on the head near the thermo housing) was half melted away and not making contact properly, that was my problem, might be worth checking this.......
