My fiesta RS1800 has just had its Ford 12 month check up and all is very well apart from a "severe leak" from the power steering thingy ? So far the steering seems fine, no change, there has always been a small amount of play in it. What does this "leak" mean, and what are the possible dangers if I don't have it sorted and Ford are quoting over £600 for the thingy never mind labour although they say they can get me an aftermarket item somewhat cheaper.
Apart from that at 86,000 miles its still smooth and rapid.
