Yea you want it as close to the throttle as possible to see the exact temp the engine gets!

The hose is very small, the rubber/silicone hose will squash round it, dont worry about a leak!

Ideally you want one, before and after the IC, to see hoe efficient your IC is, but in reality one is enough at the throttle!
