How long did it take to "rip" them? I guess you do it the same as me - rip em to a folder on the HDD, then burn the files from that folder to a DVD disc?

Cos I found that ripping DVD's takes about a hour or so, then the burn is only about 15mins per disc - it's just the ripping takes time...

When I rent a DVD out, and it turned out to be a good film worth watching again I used ot copy the DVD onto a video - trouble was the quality always suffered from converting digital video and sound into analogue - and to get round the SCMS data-encryption thingy you hadt to run seperate vieo and audio cables (couldn't use a scart or anything) so generally they were a bit poo.

But it's cool now as I can just rip and burn em off in about the same time it would take to do a full length video "dubbing"
