Having problems getting my S2 to run. Following an extensive rebuild the car does start, idles about 1500 rpm for a few seconds and then dies. I can drive the car if I keep the revs up but otherwise it just stalls.

I've checked all the obvious causes but to no avail. The only pipe that is not connected is from the oil breather to under the metering unit - would this cause the problem I'm experiencing? If so I need to get a pipe to fit but was under the impresion this wasn't too importnat? Any other items worth checking as I'm at a loss and not sure what to check next.
