hi guys, i've nearly finished my garage now but the building inspector says i need to have a half hour fire protection on my ceiling..

is it just a case of boarding with fire board or is there another way, i've heard of a substance you can paint onto normal plasterboard which gives the same effect, this would be my prefered option as i really dont want to rip my old ceiling down and re board..
