charge coolers are great at normal driving and ocasional full chat, if you drive hard for long periods of time they suffer from heat soak as they cant cool the water down fast enough, for a decent cc setup you looking at around £500-£700 depeding on what you do your self.
inercooler is obviosly cheaper but not quite as effective in this tight space limit. mine on a cold day would see bout 14deg normal driving and 28deg flat out. warm weather wasnt that great though with normal being about 30deg and flat out seeing high 40's on the road and a couple hot laps on track showing 60deg
this is how i had mine setup...
although the figures i just quoted where with the rad and intercooler swaped round so the cooler was up front.
