Simon, Im renewing an LCD panel and its going to be a twist, backlit one

something like a 22 x 2 alphanumeric

do they come with 16 terminals on the back of the board? maybee all in one line? or two by 8's? and do you know which terminal one controls the backlight or contrast like your secs monitors?

also will a potentimeter be able to be soldered inline so i can adjust the contrast?


if you wouldnt mind giving me a brief run down of what i need to do, to do this?
