i bought a brand new mareli idle controle valve from a1 and it wauldnt work on my car i tried it on my mates car and it didnt work on that ether. his car had just had another l6 put in it because the old one wauldnt adjust on the fueling it was then set up on the new one . thats when we tried the idle valve on his car it didnt work so i put his own back on and it was perfect again . he drove it home it was still fine when he come back out to it it wauldnt start he tried putting the old l6 back on and it runs again .1 do you think the idle controle valve could have caused this .
2 do new idle valves have to be set up for the car or do thay just work straight from the box
