ok heres what i would do,

check that everything is sound before firing the engine.
on start up make sure oil presure etc is good and leave at idle for a while
and listen for any abnormal sounds.
after that if all sounds and looks good go for a drive avoiding steep hills
that will put load on the engine.
keep the revs down below 3500rpm.
i would do my first oil and filter change at about 800-1000km
running in should only take about 1500km.
