Doubt that in this instance having a bat in the car would have helped as it doesnt sound like he would have got a chance to get back to the car anyway.

Fucking terrible turn of events, i hope that anyone on this forum who every buys parts that may be stolen stops to think about how they were obtained in the first place!

Glad the guy wasnt too badly hurt, hope he was fully insured etc.
