Had similar when we left an Indian restaurant. Woman comes up in tears saying she had been mugged. Obviously we were concerned for her and offered to call the police. She declined saying they wouldn't do anything. Have to share her sentiments on that to a degree. Then she says she's going into the pub opposite to see some friends and she couldn't go with no cash. The cogs in my head are turning by this point and my sympathy is drying up quickly as her next comment was.
