Finally decided to keep my escort, dump the k-jetronic and convert to EFI. My plan was to convert to cossie managemt but after some thought i have decided to go for an aftermarket management system, either DTA or OMEX.
At the moment i am in the process of collecting together the parts that are needed for the conversion.
Heres a pic of how the engine looks now, it was taken after i rebult the engine after a big end went.
The engine spec now is...
1600cc - low compression pistons
Fully lightned and balanced bottom end
Piper T2 Camshaft
Polished and ported head matched to manifolds
Turbo Technics Stage2 T3
Pace charge cooler
Bayo chip
So far i have got a ported and polished EFI head with 3 angle valves/seats and the EFI manifold so quite a few more parts to collect yet.
I will hopefully start the conversion over the next few weeks so will keep yous updated.
