I am told that the block has to be decked to get it completely flat, as with it being a steel gasket, it doesnt help mask the imperfections like a fibrous gasket, such as a YB0611 or the now defunct YB01261 gaskets. The head also needs to be completely flat too.

The same applies when using the £400 Mountune gasket.
