So, one guy says that there was Gravel on the track and that the Fiesta was not in the Gravel Trap and thats suddenly fact?
Jeeeez, this has been blown out of proportion. When I originally mentioned this it was in the vague hope that the AM Sport guy might be MAN enough to say 'Hey, Sorry, I drove like a cock'. That would have been that. Gary really isn't
that bothered by it.
I don't think this thread has gone to 4 pages because of Gary's Evo, I think its turned to a discussion about general Track Etiquette, but with the fortunate (or unfortunate) example of the AM Sport Car. The attitude conveyed by Chris from AM Sport is what has fuelled this dispute and continues to mystify me. I notice that he has suddenly disappeared.
The references to the car being wiped out by a banger were clearly a reference for comparison purposes in light of other comments that were made to the tune of how it should be accepted that anyone and everyone can and should be able to drive exactly how they want. The fact is this, if damage occurs from sensible rule-abiding Trackday driving then we must accept the damage, but if someone breaching rules and etiquette causes damage, then they deserve whatever slating they get.
