I've tried various brake setups, ranging from ebc crap through to pagid discs and mintex pads, the pagid / mintex combo worked well but the squeaky mintex pads became very annoying.

I now run 300MM ST170 discs & calipers with a cossie rear disc conversion, abs fully removed also brakes are really good and stop well The trouble with the spongy pedal feel is usually associated with the master cylinder I think. I have an initial bit of pedal travel but the brakes are nice and firm after this.
