The feathering is prob the dump valve, try removing it and running without it, it will be much smoother when on part throttle.
DONT BUY THE EBC DISCS OR PADS !!!!!!
IMO i would get Tarox discs or padgid discs and mintex 1144 pads for road use and 1155's for track use (but not on the road)
The ebc green pads cause lots of propblems with warping discs.
