hi looking for some information on putting a 1.8 zetec into a mk4 escort 1.6 carb, if i decide to keep the cabriolet, thats what i wanna do.
will the zetec fit using existing mounts? if not what engine mounts wid i need? or would i need to get custom ones made, i want to run it on either twin 40s or bike carbs, which ever is easier to get my hands on, so will i need to fit a feul pump and what 1 would be best for the job.
also wondering would the gearbox fitted to my 1.6cvh fit straight onto the zetec block?
and what ignition system should i use to get the spark to the plugs? if im running carbs, would i be able to use the edis system or is there something else i can use?
any other information you have that could help would be greatly appreciated
