If you have to choose between the LCD and a normal Tv i would go with a normal Tv unless you don't want to take up the extra room, but saying this you might be able to buy a LCD with as good picture as a Normal TV but i havn't seen one as good, have a look in any Tv shop you look at the LCD's and it look like the shop has a bad signal untill you look at the Normal Tube Tvs and it looks Good
