I would expect to pay around £500 - 700 as it would be me doing the running about, getting repairs done, taking the gamble rather than buying a ready to roll one.

Just depends how much you need to get back from the car. If you have all the work done you still may not sell it for what you want, at least a cheap car will attract more attention and sell fast, especially as you have an mot failure report for some peace of mind.

Also, i like your honesty, most peeps would hammer it out with a months mot and claim it to be fine.
You're on my wavelength Matt, and yes without a new MOT i'd only want to get £800 ish for it. It would be an ideal car for someone who can weld or get welding done cheap. After speaking to the chap who's doing the work for me apparently most of the welding is just going over the stuff thats been done badly in the past.
