If I went and looked at a car and it needed that doing to it , unless it was very cheap and actually worth my while doing it then Id leave it alone
The trouble you have Clare is unless the guys a mechanic and can do it himself , people are lazy and would want you to take care of the repairs .
Imo your better off getting the work done and then having no hassle come sale time
