Rich has just given you 2 examples out of a possible 6...

RPM .... self explanatory.....
Map pressure .......... everyone who has a SECS monitor would know what this does
Throttle position .......... Rich just told you
battery voltage .............. circa 14v at idle, even a plum would know it should be above 12
coolant temp ........... erm Rich just told you...
charge air temp ........ ok this is debatable, but lets assume it goes up when on boost and when sitting in traffic, down when cruising.... there is no FIRM figure for this, but either way DEFI dont make a guage for this so it dont matter as in your example you wouldnt be able to compare it anyway ....
