why not leave the front diff in place and shafts, just replace the box and prop with a 2wd item then if you want 4x4 again its all there.
there is a flange on the diff that the small prop bolts too, if you leave the drive shafts in, you won't get any crap into the diff. All you are doing is removing the small front prop which will not let ANY crap into the diff
