Default Nearly there

Right ive fully re-wired, lowered, and secured the fuel pump. it now primes happily and runs hapily as it should!
There is one final problem to sort before i take it for another test run(the first ending in a tow home )
Basically when i fire up at cold if i leave it to idle straight away it will be fine, but if i suddenly throttle it, or if i generously throttle it(slowly) the engine hesitates, splutters and then most times will suddenly catch up with itself and hit say 3000rpm as it should.
Now this happens EVERY time from cold. The outside whether makes no difference. Hottest day of the year and it did it. Wet days it'll do it.

Any ideas? timing is spot on(well as spot on as can be without a vernier) and i dont know what else would cause it?

edit: if i continoulsy blip the throttle it pops and backfires badly, hence why i checked timing

xr3i mfi btw
