UPDATE 2:

took the car out this evening and i gave it a bit of beans. When i got back and let it cool down it begun to idle lower and lower. The water temp gauge was on the 'N' of 'Norm' (quite high).

Do you reckon my idling problem could be down to high temperatures eg is it time for an uprated radiator? or do you reckon it something else?
