Hence the reason I wondered if anyone has come across a suitable fitting that does have a pipe attached inside the sump to "dip" into oil in the sump

Basically my understanding is this :

1. If connector is above oil it is a breather or return when fitted with a tap on catch tank

2. If connector enters oil in side the sump then it is a return and does not need a tap on catch tank

Option 2 is what I want to end up with
