fiesta mk6 questions for project
will the seats from an 06focus st2 will fit a mk6 fiesta? even if i have to change the runners just curious as to if it will fit or not, the other question is will a ford puma enigne fit into the engine bay of the fiesta (the vvt 125bhp) and what can could i do to increase the bhp slightly to get to the fiesta st150 level? to my understanding they are 150bhp?
thanks,
karloz.

The focus seats has been done before so I know they fit. But not sure what us involved.
I've not heard of a 1.7 in a mk6 fiesta, but it not a bigger angine than the 2.0 duratec found in the st. So should fit in there not sure on what mounts you would need to run it on and what ecu you would need first thought would be aftermarket but could be wrong.
Running the 1.7 staying na ford had a racing puma which was 155 so you should be able to get close to that but the inlets for the racing pumas are like rocking horse poo so expect to pay a lot for one. Throttle bodies are do able but would be on par with a 1.6 and more hassle as the 1.7 has varable cam timing.
But so get near the st power you would need. Full exhaust manifold back, cams, air filter and a map the inlet would be up to you if you wanted to pay the price for one.

glad to know that the seats fit i think i might need a different runner rail in order to fit them anyways but i will let you know once i do in case you come across a similiar question on this.
is there another type of engine that you would suggest other than the 1.7? i dont want to get a st engine and stick it in, id rather have it custom and be something that i can work on. why does the variable cam timing become an issue? i know that a st150 enigne costs around 800 but i would be willing to put more into it than that, any recommendation suspension and shock absorbation ways?
thanks,
karl.

yer im pretty sure the seats had some sort of custom subframe on them,
the vcc became a issue i believe in the mapping of the car but this was a few years ago so some one might of over come it by now,
bang for your buck the st engine will most likely be the best option and simplest to fit the options/variety of where you go with the engine after that are good. ive got throttle bodies on mine i know of a few other supercharged cars and the turbo conversion is becoming more popular as well. the bottom ends most tuners say 220 but i've seen supercharged duratecs at 280 on standard bottom end.
fit you after more info on the 1.7 engine zsoc used to be quite good for info. i would consider a 1.6 zetec as well would be a simple fit and 150 is gettable on them with a exhaust, cams, throttle bodies ecu. and parts would be more obtainable as ford used the 1.6 zetec in loads of cars
suspension setup it depends on what the car is used for i had a bilstien b12 kit which was a good road kit with occasional track use but mow ive got a set of gaz golds so i can corner weight the car and play with the bump and rebound. Ap coilovers seam to be the common choice thou
