Angry Focus ,no go! ?

Hi all, a weird one for ya'all.So this evening got into my Focus,started fine clutch in,reverse selected all no problem,clutch pedal released no motion, no drive no moving of car.
Sat revving for couple of seconds to drown out the sewer, sorry swear words.
So car was fine this morning when last drove and parked up.No strange noises, smells, or vibrations.Just no drive now.Any ideas?
Thoughts are ,
Drive shaft snap ring ?
Broken flywheel bolts.Surely get breakage noise?
Broken Marcell ring on driven plate?
1st motion shaft driven plate splines?

Any of these common on focus?
car=53 plate,2'0 petrol d.o.h.c, Ghia saloon.

Does it go into gear properly? As the selector can break on the gearbox. Otherwise it may be a broken shaft etc.

All the gears select okay. Both shafts rotate fine.Car raised and wheels turned.Differential rotates one the other direction.
No drive from the engine through clutch.
Can see the release bearing operating on the cover through slave cylinder hole.

Strange one this. I was gonna say is it engaging clutch properly. So the thrust bearing is working. It could still be the selector though.
