Cougar heater motor only clearing half of screen?!
Hi guys. Seem to have developed a problem with my heater blower clearing my windscreen. Today is the first day I have really needed it in a few months and on full power it really seemed to struggle only clearing the bottom half of the screen. Its blowing hot air but not with as much power as i think it should. The heater control on these just turns up and down so to speak like a volume knob, no 1,2,3 etc. Not sure if thats the same as the mondeo, it has climate control. Anyway, could this be the resistor pack? Or maybe just the cabin filter? I did notice a bit of a rattle from the blower motor too. Is it behind the glove box. Thanks in advance!

Yeah i suppose i should have added that lol. Was a strange one. I took the blower motor out and it was fine. Changed the pollen filter but it made no difference. Well during the week i managed to snap the green vacuum hose in top of the egr valve, never thought anything of it. Then i was told the climate control vacuum pipe comes of the same unit at the back of the inlet manifold. I blocked the green pipe off and the heater was blowing strong again. Bit unusual but there you go!
