Default turbo troubles

ford galaxy tdi, turbo cuts out under hard accelaration or 3000rpm will not work again until engine is switched off ,then works ok no smoking at all. has anybody experiance of this or had the same problem?

my pal had a problem with his audi 80 td it felt it had no power then sometimes it would run fine turned out to be a injector?

I have a old R plate Sharan which does the same sort of thing.

If you start it from cold and keep driving it you have no problems. If you go to re use the car within about 90minutes the turbo will cut out around 3000rpm, like yours if you turn it off and start it again the turbo works until you get to 3000rpm again.

If you leave it more than 90mins 99.9% of the time it don't cut out

I just live with it as nobody can find out what is wrong.

ECU is switching to limb-home mode.
Get the codes read. Best way probably is during a test-drive when the problem exists.
You can even read the codes with VW equipment like VCDS.
