Hi. I have just bought a escort finesse 1999 1.6 16v.
I started it they other morning and noticed the taco and warning lights went working, every thing else works fine. So i turned the ignition off and back on a few times and it started working again. Then yesterday same thing happened but would come back on, so i checked all the fuses and there fine. Drove it for a bit then the airing light came up then everything was working again. Now its not again so i checked the battery and that's at 12.4v and when idling its at 13.6v.
If anybody got and ideas that can help that would be great.

could just be a loose connection on rear of speedo cluster, but digital clusters do bugger up so dont rule it out

Its not got a digital cluster though.

I've just got back from a long drive and the airbag light came up again and the taco worked fine the it just stopped working again.
When its not working nothing lights up on the dash apart from the indicator lights. Every thing else like the handbrake and the two red ones at the bottom don't came on.

Update.
Pulled the cluster out and the plug on the back didn't seem to be clipped in properly so might be fixed. Will update if any change.
