Default Power steering pump on a mk6 escort van

Evening all. Has anyone changed one of these buggers? I am attempting it right now and I am slightly baffled how I get the pump out of the carrier? I am struggling to remove the 10mm bolts behind the pulley. I'm guessing pulley of but how?

Any ideas folks?

Terry

Well it seems the pulley has to come off. Bit of a problem when the puller is in the garage next door. I had to get this done yesterday so I fitted shorter bolts behind the pulley making it actually possible to do. All done now though.
