Default Buying an xr3i

Hey,
this is my first post so I'm hoping it's in the right section.

I'm buying a 1986 xr3i cabriolet from my dad and was wandering what to look for that could cost me...
I've got a couple pics I can put up tomorrow but I'm on my phone at the minute.
From what I can tell it's tidy as hell for it's age.
No knocks, not a lot of rust. Only rust I could see was under the bonnet.
Arches are tidy and so are the cills.
The roof is good too.
Anything to look out for though?
Any help is great.
Will post pics tomorrow.
Cheers guys

josh

The usual rust, around the sunroof too, is what you need to be most concerned with, all the mechanical bits can be fixed easy enough.
Batttery tray is a fave, as are arches, sills, floor, can suffer electric problems too.

It's a cabriolet so no worry about sunroof haha.
From what I can tell I'm getting a reall good deal on this car.
Just a bit of touch up Paint and stuff and it'll be there.

Anything to look for with the roof?
It's got no tears or rips or things like that

I don't really see him, I'm 20 and didn't see him from when I was 6 til 18...
Still though. He knows if he ripped me off he'd get a lot of trouble haha.

What you mean top to bottom?
