Default 1.3 Endura-E Engine oil leak through air box

Hello Peeps,

I need a little help. My little fiesta has been using quite a bit of oil, been topping up with a 1 litre bottle every so often.

However the other day I noticed quite alot of oil on the floor, after 5 minutes of investigation today I found the air filter box had lots of oil in it. It seems to be coming from the pipe that comes off the filler cap on the rocker cover.

Anyone have ideas what might be causing it???

Am I gonna have to do the valve stem seals? Can I do this with the head in place or does it need to come off?

Cheers

Nath

Sounds like valve stem seals yes! That is the oil breather you are talking about.

I'd personally do it with the head off the car.

Also - it could also be due to maybe the block breather being blocked and causing blowby? Maybe.

I assume they are the other pipes that come from down the back of the block and join up with the oil beather?
