Car wont start...
Right dudes,
my s2 RS has been on charge all night.
Went to go and start it this morning and when i turn the key all i get is a click and thats it.
Tried starting with a booster pack but nothing... is it the starter motor or something else like battery fubared?
thanks,
Shep

Very Probably the starter~motor, check the cables from starter2alternator are secure and in good nick..
Also, if you put it in 3rd gear, handbrake off, and rock it back n forth a coupla~times,
this should free it off enough to start ? this is an emergency trick,
it is usually loose/bust wires or starter bud if batt is okay,

I would say starter initially if you have all dash warning lights nice and bright and when you turn the key it seems to take all the power... give the starter a whack or rock the car in gear...and then try to restart.
I agree with kestrel as the lead to the starter is prone to break off, and they do get hot and break down...

All this rocking in gear is a load of crap, the only thing that will do is move the relative point of flywheel has stopped at, useful if it is trying to engage but damaged ring gear teeth, but this is not the case.
You could give the starter a knock in case solenoid is sticky, or put a lead direct from a decent battery onto starter direct then bridge and try.
Most likely dicky connection or buggered starter if boost pack didn't help.
