stunning looking car.. looks really fresh..

will be good to see it completed..

Not a big fan of bonnet raisers myself but I appreciate they are there to do a job.

Looks like the boot lid sits a little low no the nearside. Prob on the to do list along with a hundred other tiny things LOL...

Just checking up on ya mate and you've done me proud doing a great job there its looking minty fresh. Was you anything short along the way? hows that engine sound with the solid lifters in i always thought it might be a bit tappy but the newman cam and lifter combo is very highly thought of for both performance and reliability.
Can't wait to see it at ford fair.If its not to late ive found the plug with about an inch of wire on it today for the cooling fans from the original rs loom i can post it you if you need it.

Hi baggy, yeah I'm really happy with how its turned out, engine seems sweet as a nut, just like u say, slightly tappy with the solid lifters but that ain't 2 bad. Ah bit late for that now, I've soldered in a new loom 2 match the fan plugs now. It wasn't really nothing major short, it was just silly things, ie trim clips, engine bay clips etc, it did go for its mot on Thursday and went straight through so all good there, if now done 250 miles trouble free so far running it in, just had 2 adjust a couple of bits like the gear linkage and re hang the exhaust lol , apart from that really happy, yes I'll be at ford fair and also will be making an appearance at central day

Yeh the engine was methodically built at a slow pace to to make sure it was perfect all the clearences and end float are at the tighter end to ensure maximum life. Whats the plan for running in i was planing oil changes at 100,200,500,1,000 miles with a decent quality oil and then something like millers or mobil after that.
Glad its all good mate cant wait to see it i might even get to pod with any luck.

The s2 looks awesome. One touch I'd say to do is get the comps painted in diamond white.

quick update for 2015, after having go-tech management fitted and mapped to my car last year at a reliable 220 bhp i took it back to jamsport last week for a few more ponies, an uprated inlet and stage 3 turbo resulted in a very healthy 260 bhp and 300 torque which im fairly happy with still from a 1.6!
a few more things were done over winter, a reconditioned ib5 box
and a new suspension kit

Not sure on Gold Rl7's
But they sit lovely on it...

The white Comps just looked right imo... Are they forsale?

Clear indicators look cleaner, just want detango'ing...

the comps are sold, and yes i know gold wont be everybodys cup of tea but thats how i bought them, seemed a shame to get them refurbed another colour as they were mint, they will be going another colour in the future just not sure what yet, either white or anthracite
