Nothing to report on the car but I will share my future ambitions for the car.
Below is a list of the fastest speeds obtain at Vmax which started in 2002.
Our 206 would have topped that list back in 2005 but now is a lowly joint 12th along side a LA Ferrari . Sadly a Ford does not feature on that list . Certainly my Ford can never Top that list but Top 6 is an ambitious aim. To achieve that a genuine 920bhp will be needed for all the 1.5 miles not sure Mark is too keen on that .
Of the 14 cars on that list, 9 are Porsche.
1
NINE EXCELLENCE 996 TURBO 9EXX - The Viking --- 229mph
2
SVM NISSAN GTR ‘GUNDAM - John Graham --- 228.8mph
3
BUGATTI VEYRON – Mr.I --- 224mph
4
9FF GTR9 - Jan Fatthauer --- 222mph
5
9EXX – Matt G --- 216mph
6
LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO SUPERLEG – VJ --- 215mph
6=
9E17 9EXCELLENCE - Ken Napier --- 215mph
7
RUF RT12 - Leon Samonas --- 211mph
7 =
9FF 997 CAB - Jan Fatthauer ---211mph
7=
KOENIGSEGG CCX - Oli Webb --- 211mph
8
PORSCHE NINE EXCELLENCE 9EGT2 - Dave Matthews --- 210mph
9
997 GT2 3.9 - Toby Baxendell --- 209mph
9=
MCLAREN P1 - Paul Bailey --- 209mph
10
RS TUNING 997 GT2 - Toby Baxendell --- 208mph

The Ford GT record at Brunters is 206 that had near 800bhp. They can easily have 1500bhp but if you don't turn up with big Power you cant set records. Maybe the Ford GT scene is like the Cossie one .

Hopefully some progress soon on your car rod. Good to see also that nicks Capri is still about, seeing his car 20 years ago in performance ford is what made me build my own Cosworth capri. What changes has he made to it? He seems to be a pretty decent driver 180mph at brunters in the wet with one hand holding the sunroof shit if I remember correctly!

Strangely they would be slower at Brunters. Doing 300mph at the mile, that last .7 mile would take less than 8 secs before hitting something very hard . I would not like to try stopping from 300mph in that time.

Nick has a bit more Power now but it was taken off the road to have a Tremec fitted. We are both seeing who can take the longest to get our cars back on the road . Im around 4 years, Nick is over 5 .

A few weeks back I decided to ditch my Direct port Nitrogen 'push' system & go back to a simple single fogger . I hate having switches that do nowt so got a new panel made it has arrived from Germany & been wired.
I have had a BOC bottle of Nitogen for 10 years & it cost Ł113 a year just to have the bottle in my garage. Must admit I had forgotten about this so today its been returned . Id just paid a years rent & was surprised that I get a pro rata rebate.

Yesterday visited the machine shop to check on progress. All the parts they have will be finished by the 13th May for collection. Will remind Mark after ive done this update to trial fit my dry sump today. Its slow but steady progress.
Mark is looking at making a plug in kit to fit Emtron SL to the Lancia Intergrale range so ive been looking at that this on & off this week. Its fairly simple because they use a Weber p8 format ecu. Will try to have it completed next week. Im lucky to still be involved in these things & it keeps the brain active. It will be my eyes that stop me im afraid I already have to limit time looking at the computer screen.

Direct port is better as it has more accurate distribution. If mine was a drag car this may be important. Im really only looking for a kick up the arse from say 170mph upwards. Im going single because drilling of the Jenvey is difficult or near impossible. I may only use the Nitrous one more time so its sensible to go single.

Well today I can post that my engine is on the start line ready for its re-build. Even Mark cant think of more things to do to the block . The dry sump is not yet finalised but that should happen soon.
We are now turning again to Fuel. FTW Purple was a consideration but Mark is not keen as its new & hes heard a few things about it. We may now go a different route. Will use RTFF 13% Oxygen & see where that takes us. If we don't see the results from that then 99.5% pure Methanol (50% oxygen) will be used. This will only be used on the Dyno. The injectors will struggle so may have to go 4x1300cc & 4x2000cc to cope. There are E85 blends that are half way house which are also being considered.

Not much to report. Mark is going to map a 1000bhp engine on Friday & will discuss about using there Dyno for mine. That means we now have 3 possibilities but this one sounds right to me. Wont mentioned names until its a firm date.

Where does that end though, if you change a dust cap?
I think the block seems to be the recognised end point

Can report that Nick's Capri is back on the road so he beat me .
Mark is going to do a Dyno mapping session tomorrow on a 1200bhp Supra & with a bit of luck this Dyno is suitable for mine & I can announce where that is. Mark is building up my engine for 1 hour each day so by the end of the month it may look somewhat like an engine.
Meanwhile ive built the loom for an Intergrale & next is a 5cylinder RS engine in a Ford 100e. To think I retired over 8 years ago & was going to do nowt .

Mark did a mapping session on one of the two Dyno's he is looking at. The Dyno was OK but hes doing a mapping session on the other one & will then decide. The engine he was mapping had some problems & only made 1093bhp a bit short of the expected figures but an injector problem was found.
