its a free flowing inlet, egr blanked off and its the rpm version so is just a little higher which I wanted without fitting a spacer, if its to high I will fit a six pack bonnet bulge

gotta get the headers to fit aswell lots of chopping and welding me thinks lol

its will be even bigger with the overbore, at 30 thou over its 446 ci which is 7.3 litre, petrol station anyone lol

the biggest stroker kit they do is 541 ci which is 8.9 litres but after the trouble I had with my 3.4 stroker 2jz engine id rather keep a more sensible rod angle and if it fails standard cranks and rods are available cheaply.

It is annoying when im busy fixing a machine but its got to be done mate so needs must

On the heads on the middle 2 cylinders each side the exhaust flows back in under the carb through ports in the inket it looks like, then theres what looks like a valve that sits in the port, just done away with the lot with a new non egr intake

looking smart now with chrome timing cover on, pickup pipe should be here tmrw need to fit that and prime oil pump and check all rockers get oil, fit chrome valve covers and drop her in the car.

im gonna leave the original cast inlet on for lifting motor in as I don't trust the engine lifting plate being bolted to my new alloy high rise intake lol

no pick up pipe fitted the sump so modded the closest one I had to fit.
rocker covers on and crank pulley

need to find time now to mate to gearbox and drop in car and make front engine mounts, im happy though the motor is built and oiled up inside so will be ok left for a while until time is available

Bit of progress now, had to modify right hand engine mount frame bracket as oil filter was hitting it, made engine mounts from big block and small block brackets welded together, headers are impossible to make fit so I've ordered some stainless block hugger manifolds.

Custom bracket for standard pas pump, custom servo and master mount bracket as was fouling on rocker cover, we aren't to far away now for a first start up and check for leaks

so weve had here running

Facebook Post

was on 7 in video didn't realise plug lead was dodgy, and spark is very weak and irratic timing all over the place due to not enough juice to run electric fuel pump, fans and ignition, so im fitting 90 amp 1 wire alternator, bigger battery, direct to battery alt wire and double wiring the ignition and dash loom so we maintain full voltage, should be good for test run then seems to have plenty of compression very responsive on throttle not like the old low comp 318 slug that was in it.

Glad you like it, got the alternator on and rewired, started up without vac pipe on dizzy and ignition advance was 1 degree lol, so set at 12 degrees which is 37 max, runs great now even without vac advance, just need to wire up cooling fan to temp switch and make sure temperature holds below 90 on fans and were ready for a test drive

So close wanna drive it down my 1/4 mile of tarmac

Massive new rad now fitted 5 core with 16" kenlowe puller mounted to core, still struggles but does keep temp just below 90 stationary, engine is new and still very tight once she loosens up it will be a bit easier on cooling system we have a similar scenario with the 22 litre dozer engines we rebuild, just need thinner filter element so bonnet will shut and release a stuck on brake and it's test drive time

weve had a drive in it today

Facebook Post

feels good so far, first time I nailed it it filled the car with tyre smoke , one of my fitters grabbed his phone and filmed second one, didn't pull anywhere near as hard and shes now banging from trans and can smell burning trans oil so something is amiss in gearbox now, engine seems good though so far so back on the ramp she goes lol.

Car is on the ramp again, not sure what's wrong with trans but it wasn't changing up and slipping i could feel it.

So I've bit the bullet today and a new tci Street fighter 727 transmission rated up to 625 hp, a 2400 stall tci convertor and an oil cooler for it, not a bad deal at £1800 for the lit I thought

Ive got a new engine so decided best to get a new trans to go with it, I've mentioned to the missus about Santa pod, I've not been in the r35 yet so my plan is to take the gtr and the missus go in the Chrysler and have a go herself in it

We are getting there now transmission is now in the hole, tje old trans had done about 4 miles of testing up my 1/4 mile track, it had brand new oil in its now black as engine oil and stinks of burning so there was definitely a serious problem in there

Fingers crossed she will be all good now

It was £1800 for that lot which I thought was good for fresh trans and torque all uprated, old transmission is definitely not right I don't know if it was knackered or if I didn't assemble it right lol
