ford escort 75 diesel van 2001 ADVICE
hello, need some advice at what to look for in the way of rattles and bangs ,thinking of buying a van 2001 ford diesel 75 van non turbo 2 owners 152k on the clock looks reasonable not much rust on body
you guys know these and i dont ,any advice muchly welcomed

one thing ive had on the escort vans before are the clutch pawl and ratchet goes sometimes so i would check that, unless its the manual adjuster on the clutch pedal, in which case no need to worry..
i had a fiesta courier (shares the same engine) and had a lifter break up which resulted in a new engine as it wedged between the cam and stripped the cambelt, so i guess just listen out for any major engine rattles...
wishbone bushes, especially the rear bush on the front wishbone tend to split out, this will cause tyre wear and probable knocking on suspension...
only other thing which most fords are renound for is rust...
not to scare you of course hope this helps
