Certainly does, and after all the cars I've had since the cosworth.......
BMW M5
Mitsubishi Evo
TVR Tuscan
BMW M3
Renault Clio V6
and I'm sure I've missed another one from the list, just can't remember what it was....... LOL.
I still haven't had anything that's given me the enjoyment G88 NMW did.

Is it a good saph that you've got ???? Send me a link to your pics...... (Now come on, I know you post plenty of pics......LOL).

I Loved It.......... But was always worrying about the possible rebuild on the Speed Six Engine, as there wasn't many that had done over 30k without needing a full top end rebuild at about Ł5k.
Didn't handle as well as I expected, but performance it certainly had enough for our roads.
Looking at an E60 M5 or an Audi RS4 at the moment............or of course go back old skool and back to a cossie.
Undecided at the moment, had a drive of the Audi RS4 and was impressed, but straight line acceleration isn't as good as the M5, but it handles better. Whatever I get it will be my Christmas Present to myself.

Hiya James & Pete
Yes, the Clio has had to go, just too much money tied up in her and never took it out much to be honest, but it certainly was a great piece of garage bling.
Bought the Audi S4 quite recently, I'd been looking at RS4's for a while and then this one came up at a great price on one of the Audi RS Web Sites, for sale by an enthusiast, one owner from new and with a full Audi service history from new until it's last service in January this year.
As usual I spent a while making up my mind and an RS4 would have mean Ł20k tied up in a car, which I may well have done a few years ago, but as we get older our priorities change a little, so took the easy option and went for the S4 instead. Not a huge amount of mechanical difference (relatively speaking) but huge financial difference between the two. That financial difference in price means I can play with this one a bit, which gives me something to keep me out of trouble. Already got her booked in for a front bumper re-spray which is the only bit that lets it down at the moment, then I'm going for the Milltek Cat-Back Exhaust System and some shocks and springs....... and that's about it and I'll still have money left in the bank...... LOL.
Hope you two are still doing well, and James is progressing on G88, let me know the first show she'll be visiting. Pete yours is stunning and a credit to you and the previous owners.
James - Get some pics up.
All the best to you both, I must admit I loving the sound of the V8 and it has long legs which I've always gone for........ hA Ha ha. Hope you noticed my Honda 1000RR Repsol lurking at the back of my garage in the first pic. That keeps me entertained when I need a ballistic high speed fix.
Few more to tempt you to swap those old fords you both have.........

Wakey Wakey...
I've rebuilt the Audi in the last two months, so you must be close to finishing G88.
Hoping for a genuine 380bhp with a few further mods. Not as easy getting big power hikes on normally aspirated engines. as it was with a Cosworth.
Anyway, here's what's been going on with the Audi.

I have 2003 S4 as my daily driver with piggy pipes and non res Milltek to pep in up a bit, as well as making it sound fantastic
Shame about the shit 6th gear ratio

hi jim
ive just read all your thread on the s4 ,and hats off to the work you have done on it .it makes cosworths look so simple and dated compared to that engine, but showing even the best engineerd cars have their fair share of problems.
awesome car though
the saff is going in for paint at the end of september now that i have found someone i can 100% trust .the full engine bay ,side skirts and the full rear of the car is being painted to get the colour uniform all round .their is one very small bit of welding to do on the bottom of the nearside sill.
i have got two new sets of wheels for it ,and just need to decide which ones lol
i will update the thread shortly as it appears to be over a year since i did jim
