Hi guys, its been ages, but finally theres some life to my ~S1 after 6 years of arsing around..
Its been slow progress but had it running last night ( although only for second, ..more work to do etc) and i noticed theres oil blowing out between the Exhaust manifold and the turbo flange..bugger... Fucked turbo seals ? its been on the shelf for years but there was minimal play in the shaft before i bolted it on.., any suggestions ? Engine should be good its all new.
CheRS ,Pete...more updates soon
just thinking now, i got the oil flowing to the turbo before starting her up so is there a chance its leaked past the seal abit before it was started and then blows when its running? Its seems to have calmed down a bit after the initial start
